Campus Celebrity:UMaine’s Spring Greek Week
The University of Maine’s Greek community is currently hosting their Spring Greek Week, also known as Spring Fling! The theme is ironically “Ancient Greece” so if people see togas being worn around campus don’t be surprised.
The Main idea of Greek Week is not only to promote Greek Life to the campus and have a good time, but also to strengthen the Greek Community and give back to the greater community through philanthropy.
The Philanthropy this Spring Fling is the Children’s Miracle Network! The Greek Community is hosting a Dance Marathon, BEARFEST!, this Saturday, March 31st from 8pm to 8am (check it out- its Her Campus UMaine’s weekly event!) . As of Wednesday March 27, 2012 at 5pm they had super seceded our goal of $20,000 dollars! All the proceeds will be going directly to UMaine’s local hospital, Eastern Maine Medical Center (EMMC)!

Thursday:Night at the Greek Theatre (Talent Show)- 7-10pm, Collins Center for the Arts
Friday:Ancient Greek Olympics- 3-6pm, Lengyel Field
Saturday: BEARFEST- 8pm to 8am, Field House
