As much as we would all like to say that we are happy and joyful 24/7, sometimes you get in a funk and you just don’t know why. So, Collegiettes, cheer up! College is way too short to be in a bad mood. Instead, here are 40 things to do when you’re feeling down:
1. Wake up early and go for a run. No matter how much you hate running, I promise you will feel good after.
2. Make yourself a big, fancy, healthy breakfast.
3. Take a long, hot shower.
4. Put aside time to take care of yourself.
5. Listen to your favorite music really loud.
6. Dance like a fool.
7. No matter what you’re doing later that day, get dressed and put yourself together.
8. Smile at strangers.
9. Do a good deed. You could be changing someone’s bad day into a good one.
10. Go for a long walk, alone, without music.
11. Stop thinking about him.
12. Go to lunch with your best friend(s).
13. Play throwback music in the car with your friends.
14. Don’t Snapchat it; just enjoy it.
15. Write down your blessings.
16. Go shopping and splurge on something you’ve wanted for so long.
17. Don’t feel guilty about treating yourself.
