You wake up and think, “Where am I? I need water. Where’s my cell phone? Whoa, my head is pounding, gotta lay back down. Wait… why am I still wearing last night’s dress?”

So, you’re hungover. Happens to the best of us. On many occasions it would be perfectly acceptable to roll out of bed, throw on sweatpants, look in the mirror and shrug your shoulders and sigh, “I’m going to Berk.” But, this particular morning you have – an early shift at work, a group project to work on, your parents are coming to visit… whatever it happens to be, you cannot afford to look (and smell) like the living booze-bag that you do right now. Luckily, you are now learning from the queen of hangovers herself 5 miraculous beauty products that will instantly hide that hideous hangover.

1) Exfoliating Wash

To start, you need to wash away all the smudged eyeliner and regret from the night before. Using an exfoliating face wash, like Neutrogena Pore Refining Exfoliating Cleanser ($7.49), will wake you up and let you start with a clean slate. The cleanser scrubs away dead surface cells to smooth skin, reduce redness, and get deep into your pores to remove makeup, dirt, and oil.

2) Anti-Puff Eye Roller

Now to tackle those horrid dark bags under your eyes try Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Puff Eye Roller ($10.99). The caffeine in the rollerball will constrict blood vessels that cause swelling, dehydrate fat to minimize bags, and massage away excess fluid. Roll this on and dab on a little concealer and your dark, saggy eyes will be bright and alert in no time!

3) Tinted Moisturizer

You know that intense quench of thirst you have when you first wake up after a night out? Your skin feels the same way. Moisturize your dry skin while covering up any unevenness or blotchiness with a tinted moisturizer like Maybelline Dream Fresh Beauty Balm Skin Perfector ($8.99). This BB cream provides your skin with eight amazing benefits: blurs imperfections, brightens, evens skin tone, smoothes, hydrates, enhances, protects with SPF 30, and has 0% oils and heavy ingredients. It’s a perfect quick fix for that dry, dull, morning-after skin.

4) Eyeliner

Before you grab your go-to blackest black liner, you should know that while dark liner does make you look a little less dead, it also emphasizes your irritation. Lining your inside rim with a neutral or white eyeliner will give eyes a fresh, bright look and reduce the look of redness. I suggest Lights, Camera, Lashes Inner Rim Brightener by Tarte ($19) to open up those droopy eyes of yours on this way-too-early morning.

5) Lipstick

Once you’ve done your best to cover up your tired skin and eyes, add a splash of lip color for good measure to distract attention from your alcohol-ridden facade. One of my personal faves is CoverGirl Nature Luxe Gloss Balm, a lightweight lipstick fortified with mango and shea butter that softens lips and comes in 16 beautiful shades. It gives a sheer color and shine and even has SPF 15 to protect chapped lips from the sun (OMG that sun, is it always this bright).

As hard as we Collegiettes try to resist from drinking the night before a day we simply cannot look hungover for, we are in college and sometimes, sh*t happens. But don’t fret when you wake up looking like a walking walk of shame; just add these five simple steps into your morning makeup routine and whether you spent your Friday night in the library or the frat party, nobody will be the wiser. You secret is safe with me. Party on, zoo animals!
