Not only does fall mark the start of a new semester, but it also calls for the seasonal trip to Trader Joe’s. There is nothing more satisfying than the return of pumpkins, and of course, a brand new batch of some of my favorite items with a fall twist — only at Trader Joe’s. I selected five of my favorite fall purchases, including meals, drinks, desserts, and pantry staples that I know you will love as much as I do.
- Apple Cider
-
What do you think of when you think of fall? For me, it is the leaves, pumpkins, and apple cider. I can confidently say that Trader Joe’s has been my go-to apple cider choice since day one. The all-natural juice has a great flavor without being overly sweet and is bound to please everyone at a fall celebration event.
- Butternut squash mac and cheese bites
-
Frozen macaroni and cheese can be difficult to perfect, but the butternut squash bites are perfection. You can easily bake this meal in the oven for 10-12 minutes. There is no additional preparation needed. What I really like about these is that they have the perfect balance of butternut squash and mac and cheese. Every college student swears by ramen and Kraft mac and cheese, however, once you take a taste of this delicious take on comfort food, you will be coming back for more.
- Pumpkin tortilla chips
-
Hear me out for a second, I know this does not sound promising, and I genuinely thought this would never make the list. I noticed these on the shelf and figured I would give them a try — best decision I have ever made. The chips taste like your classic tortilla chips with a light pumpkin flavor baked in. These are the perfect snack for any time of day. Take my word, these chips are worth your time. Don’t knock it until you try it.
- Pumpkin spiced Joe-Joe’s
-
These cookies are one of TJ’s latest fall-themed releases. I am a huge fan of Joe-Joe’s and find them to be the superior cookie. The cookie is your regular sandwich cookie with a layer of pumpkin-flavored icing covering it. Pumpkin Joe-Joe’s are truly one of my favorite snacks of all time and they should be around all year.
- Dried strawberries
-
This may not be a fall-specific item, but it is a must-have. Dried strawberries are a staple in my pantry and will be essential to yours. You can eat them by themselves or mix them with some cereal or other snacks. I have tried every combination in the books without fail and am consistently buying them in bulk. Every day becomes complete with this delicious dorm snack.
Those were just a few of my fall favorites, but you can enjoy them at any time of year. I hope you will give them a try and let me know your thoughts. I would love to hear your favorite Trader Joe’s finds as well. Happy fall and happy snacking, here’s to a wonderful semester ahead.
