In the snowy winter of the Pioneer Valley, getting to the gym can seem nearly impossible. Saying “it’s cold” is an understatement. During the chilly months, the best way to make sure you get your workout in is a little accountability. Grab a few buddies, and make a “fit fam.” These people are the ones you can rely on to make sure your workout and healthy habits stick. Here are some ways accountability can change your workout.
1. You’d be surprised how much easier it is to wake up early to workout if you have someone to work with.
You have someone to talk to, and someone to distract you from your workout. Who cares how many push-ups you have to do when you have something to talk about?
2. If your roommates eat clean, healthy foods—you will too.
What junk food? Our fridge is just kale.
3. Working out with the people you go out with on the weekends makes you feel like you’re working towards something.
Ten more squats for those heels, you won’t regret it.
4. You get to swap healthy recipes and use each other as your guinea pigs to try out new ones.
No more salad after boring salad. New and exciting recipes are a great way to get yourself to eat healthier! But how many grams of fiber and protein does this have?
5. When you can’t workout together, you can still send each other little reminders to make sure you work your @$$ off.
We WILLworkout, and we WILL earn a trip to Bub’s.
So grab some pals, make your fit fam, and get crackin’ Collegiettes!
