Things are starting to look up as more and more people are getting vaccinated in the United States and around the world, just in time for the best season of all: summer! I’ve always looked forward to summer vacation when I was little, but I now have a newfound appreciation for the freedom and joy that it brings. Here are some things on my summer bucket list that you might want to check off your list, too!

  1. Go strawberry picking with my friends. A wholesome activity that can be made even sweeter with homemade whipped cream!

  2. Go to an outdoor concert. This might not be possible yet, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed :)

  3. Go to the beach. Need I say more?

  4. Frolic in a field of sunflowers! I’ve always wanted to!

  5. Go to a wine tasting. I just turned 21, and I’m so excited to try new things like wine tasting!

  6. Swing off a rope swing into a lake. I’ve always wanted to try it, but I’ve never had the chance to.

  7. Make a summer playlist. I’ve been so busy this semester, so summer will be a good time to clean up my Spotify and hopefully put together a playlist I really like.

  8. Go to a farmer’s market. I am a sucker for farmer’s markets!

  9. Go to a drive-in movie with friends.

  10. Go stargazing or sleep under the stars!

  11. Do a “Chopped” challenge with my family. Like the show, each team would buy the other team ingredients and they have to come up with a dish from those ingredients.

  12. Learn to meditate. I’m on my journey to find my zen ~

  13. Host a bonfire and make s’mores with my friends!

  14. Watch a movie outside using a projector and a sheet.

  15. Relax! I think this is probably on everybody’s bucket list this summer.

Here’s to summer 2021! I hope it will be wildly fun! :)
