In this day and age, college aged women are not strangers to the way technology affects our lives. From Facebook to Snapchat, Twitter to Instagram, it’s everywhere. One of the greatest parts about technology is the access to people we never would have been able to before. Communication is no longer held by location, but having the option to speak to people across the world. It wasn’t a surprise when it leaked into our dating life through a new app: Tinder.
Ah, Tinder. The application that never fails to make you feel good and gross all at once. While it’s always a compliment to gain a right swipe, it’s always a horror too. What kind of creepy lines will this guy drop? It’s enough to make any college girl delete the application within two days.
In comes SingledOut.
In this unique new dating application for college singles, it is catered towards what a woman is looking for. The co-founders, Jay Wadhwani and Abhishek Jain, describe it on the website: “The Singled Out app empowers women by giving them complete control over the connection process. Women ask questions to single guys and before the guys can “swipe to match” they have to answer the questions correctly.” It saves us females the process of having to ask each individual themselves and find out if they’re suited for us or not.
