Glossier You

With my current bottle being my third restock, it’s obvious that Glossier You has to be first on the list. I can attest how my love for this perfume has lasted through time and all kinds of places throughout the past five years. Glossier You is a truly universal fragrance; with the versatile locations it can be worn in and the people it can be worn on. Anyone can wear this fragrance because of the way that it adapts to everyone’s ph. Since the base is so neutral with notes of pink pepper, iris, ambrette, and ambrox, it’s a great perfume to pair with others. I love mixing it with some of the perfumes below!

The only one Eau de Parfum – Dolce & gabbana

Since I first got this perfume in 2021, I’ve always known what to put on when I’m going out and want people to know that I smell good. I’m not one to like excessively sweet scents, but this one has the perfect balance of sweet and gourmand notes to keep from being overpowering. It’s blended with main notes of caramel, vanilla, coffee, violet, and orange blossom. Now maybe one spray of this can be worn to class, but I would say this perfume is mostly for nighttime. I only say this because of the amount of projection that this perfume has. If you want someone to be able to smell you from across the room, but not get a headache from the scent, this is your perfume.

Bal D’Afrique – Byredo

Some people don’t want their perfume to smell like perfume, but rather like they just got out of the shower and they’re freshly clean. Bal D’Afrique is exactly that scent, with notes of bergamot, African marigold, violet, and cedarwood. This fragrance leans more on the citrus side rather than sweet and it is more like a second-skin scent just like Glossier You. I only got this perfume recently and I’m already through two sample sizes. I would say this perfume is fit for any season, but it performs best in the summer.

On a date – Replica

One thing I love about Replica perfumes is that they give you a place to imagine before you even spray it. They describe it in three main ways on the front of the bottle, Provenance and Period: Provence in 2014, Fragrance Description: Grapes and Roses, and Style Description: Memory in a fragrance. I couldn’t have described it better with the blend of black currant, bergamot, pink pepper, and patchouli. Every time I spray this, I imagine having dinner in the evening right after walking through a vineyard. I love so many of the Replica fragrances, but this has to be one of my favorites.

Honey infused hair perfume – gisou

Although this perfume is meant for your hair, people can still smell the sweet scent trail all around you. Part of what drew me to this perfume was the beautiful packaging, the gold color of the liquid is very reminiscent of its main honey note. Whenever I made a trip to Sephora, I would consistently sample this Gisou perfume but never purchase it. One day, I decided to go for it, and I have no regrets. This smells like what a L’Oréal or Pantene hair commercial looks like. It’s that smell your hair has when you just get out of a salon chair, and they’ve used all kinds of mystery products.

Light Blue – Dolce & Gabbana

If you love the smell of fresh lemons and oranges, this perfume is a combination of both of them. This scent is the epitome of summer and has notes of Sicilian lemon, apple, cedar, and musk. I recommend this to all of my friends who aren’t the type to like sweet scents. I’ve also gotten so many compliments on this from all different ages because of how universal it is. I think this would be a great blind-buy for everyone. The longevity is enough to power through the summer heat.
