set the mood with a Fun spring cleaning playlist

I personally like to set the mood by putting on light and upbeat music from artists like Harry Styles, Frank Ocean, and The Beatles. Cleaning doesn’t have to be a chore when you’ve got great music. Prefer a show? Turn on your favorite show (Gossip Girl ofc!!!) for some entertainment while you tidy up. Another great choice to is pop on that podcast you have been meaning to listen to!!

Declutter

Start by putting away those winter pieces that you won’t be needing. Think heavy coats, baggy sweatshirts, scarves, and hats. Once you have cleaned out the winter pieces, take a look at the rest of your wardrobe. If there are pieces you haven’t worn in ages, like that gray shirt, consider donating it to make room for something new. Do the same for the rest of your room. Go through your drawers and get rid of anything you have not used in a while.

UPGRADE YOUR BEDDING AND WARDROBE

Treat yourself to fresh linens or swap out your winter comforter for something lighter. Personally, I adore my flower print sheets as they add a splash of color to my bedroom, and are perfect for the spring. When it comes to your wardrobe, it’s time to dig into storage and bring out those summer favorites. And if your looking for a reason to indugle, what better time than the start of a new season to treat yourself to some new wardrobe pieces.

Add Fresh Scents

Whether it’s through room sprays, oil diffusers, or candles, adding fragrances like fresh linen, ylang-ylang, or lavender refreshes your bedroom. Target and TJ Maxx both carry a lot of really good quality essential oils, and room sprays so I would recommend starting there.

Add a pop of color

Swap out dark, wintry decor for bright pieces that reflect the spirit of the season. Consinder adding colorful throw pillows, arranging fresh flowers in a colorful vase, or adding a vibrant rug to add a pop of color to your room. These small changes can instantly lift your mood and transform your room for the season.

With these spring cleaning tips and essentials, you’ll be ready to welcome the season with open arms and a freshly organized and sparkling clean.
