What’s new in Amherst?…
The Works Bakery and Café opened a few weeks ago and it is already my new favorite spot in town. Located downtown right across from Judie’s, this new breakfast/lunch spot will be sure to win over your heart. It is very similar to Panera, but way better because of its superior food and convenient location. They offer delicious breakfast sandwiches, baked goods, salads, sandwiches, soups, smoothies, and of course coffee, lots and lots of coffee.
They will be sure to win you over with their amazingly friendly staff. Every single person I talked to was eager to serve me. What was even better than that? The food they were servin’ up! Not only is all of their food (that I’ve tried) delicious, but they use fresh ingredients that they source from local farms. They even list where all of their meats, eggs, wheat products, milk, and coffee come from right on their website. So you can indulge and know that you aren’t feeding your body harmful chemicals AND you are supporting local farmers. Are you feeling good about this yet?
The Works is the perfect spot to hit up with your friends or to go to alone to study and do homework at. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating overlooks South Pleasant St. so it is the perfect spot to people-watch on a beautiful spring day.
Check it out ASAP and let us know what you think (and what I should order the next time I stop by) in the comments section below!
