Winter has arrived and as us Michigan students know, that means freezing days and even colder nights. It’s easy to just throw on your warmest pair of sweats and a comfy sweatshirt everyday when going to class, but it IS possible to look cute and stay warm during winter! We’ve come up with a list of 4 pieces to add to your wardrobe that will let you dress comfy, cute and best of all, fight off the freezing cold!
Fleece Leggings
Who doesn’t love going to class in leggings and an oversized sweater? That’s why investing in a pair of fleece leggings is perfect- the lined inside will keep you toasty, and they look like regular leggings to everyone else!
Beanies
Beanies are a great winter accessory. I always dread when I have to wear hats outside because they usually mess up my hair big time. Wearing a beanie is the perfect compromise because you can keep it on so your hair doesn’t get crazy. It adds a little something extra to your outfit, and it’ll save your ears from turning bright red from the cold wind.
Patterned Fuzzy Socks
These socks are sure to keep your feet nice and cozy in your boots and they look super adorable if you have a bit of them showing above your boot!
Scarves
Whether you want to make a scarf a part of your outfit, or you want to take it off once you get to class, scarves are vital for the trek across the Diag! You can never go wrong wearing one of these.
Bonus: Leather Jacket
We’ve all faced the dilemma of choosing between staying in our cozy beds on a Friday night or risking the freezing cold to go out. Leather jackets are the solution. Wearing a leather jacket when going out will help keep you warm(er) and it won’t ruin your outfit like a puffy jacket sometimes does!
