Hello there, Her Campus fans. It’s me, Sari, your New York diva reporting again for duty, and I’m bringing knowledge on the greatest trends all the way to Ann Arbor. Although the air may be chilly, fashion is now hotter than ever. This season, I have seen both new trends introduced as well as some oldies resurface. So while some of you may need to rush back to Bloomingdales after reading my article, others may be able to go through your incredibly old stuff and notice that you might still have some of these from your childhood. And by that, I do NOT mean the revival of Juicy Sweats and Love Pink apparel, because let’s face it, like fetch, that is never going to happen!
You’re no longer in middle school. You’re also no longer at camp (okay, some of you still are at heart). Regardless, chances are you thought you would never wear a temporary tattoo again. Well now you can, because this season flash tattoos have been selling like crazy. These glitzy silver and gold temporary tattoos are generally worn on your arm, but I’m sure you can get creative. They’re shiny, and anything but tacky. Get them before they run out.
TOTO, I’m afraid we’re not in the 1990’s anymore. Nope, that’s right, you’re in the year 2014. Don’t be fooled when you walk around seeing every girl around you wearing a black choker necklace. It’s really happening…wait, it already happened. But in all seriousness, they are another great accessory to add to any outfit.
Good thing it’s about to be everybody’s barn dance, because plaid is so in style again. I know I just bought a great plaid green shirt at Aritzia. Anyway, it is so hard not to be excited for plaid. “Shine bright, shine far, be a star!” Flash Tattoos aren’t the only thing that are catching our eyes this season. In case you haven’t already heard, shiny colors are a thing again! And let’s be honest, that’s getting you all very excited. Well, at least it got me thrilled to have an excuse other than New Years to wear metallics. You can dress it up with a skirt, dress, or jumper. However, more casual shine like this Michael Stars Sweatshirt from Bloomingdales can be worn out to dinner or even to class!
