Every month there are so many movies leaving Netflix. Some funny, some plain and some that are beloved and make up good memories from the past. Thanksgiving is the perfect time to feel the blast from the past from old classic movies that hit the charts in the past so here is a list of great movies to watch on Netflix.
One of these classic movies is Ali. It stars Will Smith as Muhammed Ali and was released in 2001. This movie follows the inspiring journey of Muhammed Ali, one of the greatest boxers of all time. He began as a slave and ended up giving up his slave name to implement changes in his life. He entered the boxing scene and battled obstacles on and off the ring. In a world prejudiced against black people, he made the world take a double take and second guess their presumptions about black people. Watch the movie to see key obstacles in Ali’s life and how bravely he faced every obstacle with a fight as a true hero commemorated throughout history.
Another classic movie is Point Break. It stars Keanu Reaves as Johnny Utah, a FBI agent and was released in 1991. This movie is about a series of unique bank robberies in Southern California with the thieves wearing masks of former U.S. presidents. Johnny goes undercover to find the thieves. He finds out the thieves are actually adventurous and free spirited surfers. As Johnny works with the thieves, he gets closer to the thieves and falls for one. Watch this movie to see how Johnny navigates his dilemma of choosing whether to follow his old life as an agent or to stay with the thieves he recently formed a bond with. Furthmore, another classic movie leaving Netflix is IT Chapter 2 which was released in 2019. It occurs 27 years after the events of the first film. The Losers’ Club is a group of childhood friends who defeated the evil clown Pennywise (Bill SkarsgĂĄrd) as children. Now they are all grown up and live their own separate lives. However, new strange events began happening again in their hometown of Derry, Maine, they’re called back to face Pennywise one more time. Watch this movie to see whether they are successful against Pennywise a second time.
One last movie is Two Weeks Notice released in 2002. This movie is a romantic comedy about Lucy Kelson (Sandra Bullock), a smart and passionate lawyer who works for George Wade (Hugh Grant), a wealthy and somewhat clueless real estate mogul. Lucy has been working for George for a long time, helping him with legal matters while trying to keep him in line. However, she’s tired of his demanding personality and decides to quit her job, giving him two weeks’ notice. As Lucy prepares to leave, George realizes he can’t function without her. He tries everything to convince her to stay, even offering her a better position in his company. Over time, their professional relationship turns into a personal one, and they begin to develop romantic feelings for each other. Watch this movie to see what happens in their relationship.
