The Universe is powerful — whether you believe it or not, it is constantly sending you messages. These messages aren’t random; they are meant for you. Once you start paying attention to these signs, you’ll quickly begin to realize just how prevalent they are when the Universe is trying to reach you. Now, what are these signs you might ask? There are many, but this article will focus on angel numbers, as described by Jessica Estrada in Well + Good. Angel numbers most commonly appear as repeating numbers that can pop up anywhere when you least expect it. Have you ever found yourself staring at the clock and noticing 2:22 every single day, without even trying? This is no coincidence. There is meaning behind these sequences. Chances are, you will see these numbers in other places too, such as dreams, receipts, and social media. Now, let’s get to the fun stuff… what do they mean?
1. If you constantly see sequences of the number one (such as 11, 1111, etc.), it means that your thoughts are coming into reality. Channel your thoughts into what you want to usher it into existence. It’s as though the Universe can read your mind; whatever you think is what will be given… but be careful how you treat this. If your thoughts are negative, negative things will occur. (Side note: this really works! Every night during exam period last semester, I manifested getting straight A’s. And then, everyday while studying, I’d look at the clock and it would be 1:11. Guess who got straight A’s on their exams!)
2. Seeing the number two is a message that you need to stay present in the moment you are in and remember that you are exactly where you need to be. The Universe is reminding you not to overthink or compare yourself to others.
3. The number three means that you lack balance in your life. Take a solid look at all aspects of your life, see what isn’t fully serving you, and do what you can to make the situation better. Vision boards are a great way to make this happen, as are meditating and journaling.
5. The number five is a sign of change. It reminds us that change is coming, change is good, and change should not be feared. Your angels are bringing about positive change and are preparing you and your mind to accept this change without doubt and with excited energy.
6. If the number six is what you keep seeing, the Universe is telling you to slow down and conduct a reality check. Look at your life to see what’s not working and what can be changed in order to better it.
7. Relaxation and letting your fears go — especially your fears about the future — is the meaning of the number seven. Trust that everything is always working in your favour and that worrying about the future will not do you any good. Relax your mind and trust the road that you are on.
8. The number eight is a sign that you should remind yourself to be thankful for what you have, how far you have come, and how far you will go. It signifies an endless loop of energy. You are taking the energy, going with the flow, and going on the road your angels have built for you. Thank them and thank yourself. Gratitude is powerful and it does not go unnoticed.
9. Lastly, we have the number nine. This number means that what you have been working on is coming to fruition. If a big project has been keeping you up at night for months, the end is near — and good news will come along with it. It can also mean that your goals are coming to completion and that you can now dream bigger and set new ones.
