This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Ottawa chapter.

We sat down with our elusive advice columnist, Hey Holly! to get to know her better. Check out her interview:

Her Campus: So Holly, would you like to introduce yourself to our readers?

Hey Holly!: Sure! but it’s more of a re-introduction (I’ve been featured on your site in the past).  My name is Holly, and I am the ultimate advice columnist. You can ask me anything. I cover just about every topic, such as: relationships, sex, being healthy, and realistically, anything you can think of! Think of me as your mother, sister, and best friend all rolled into one- but better because I won’t judge you for asking me anything out of the ordinary. Simply ask, and your question shall be answered!

HC: So how exactly does your column work?

Holly: Simply follow this link to submit a question. All questions are 100% anonymous, so you don’t have to worry about anyone finding out your identity or teasing you if you ask an embarrassing question (which are my favourite to answer!). Every week, I’ll select 3 questions to answer on Her Campus U Ottawa.

HC: We’ve done our research and discovered that there’s no team member on HCuOttawa who is named Holly… so who are you?

Holly: I’m just a normal student like the rest of you! I’m that feisty red-head at La Maison, the well-articulated poli-sci student, the stylish girl wearing heels to class on a Monday morning, the shy comic book nerd (who is super hilarious once you get to know her), the sorority girl who’s ready to make a difference, and the comfy girl who has her sweats tucked into her hunters in the library. Basically, I think it’s much easier for people who wish to remain anonymous to ask another fellow anonymous person their embarrassing questions. I strive to be as diverse as the students who attend uOttawa.

HC: That sounds great! We can’t wait to read your first advice column. When can we expect it to be posted?

Holly: Well, as soon as people send me their questions, I can get busy giving advice! Basically, the quicker your readers submit their questions, the quicker my first advice column will go up!

It was wonderful to work with Her Campus UOttawa. I am an English student who is interested in politics and economics. I love to travel (I have been to China, Thialand, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland), watch and play sports (Go Leafs Go), play video games (I am currently replaying the Legend of Zelda games for N64), and bake yummy treats (chocolate or lemon flavored). Since leaving HerCampus and UOttawa I have gone on to the University of Saskatchewan and entered into the Collage of Education.Â
