How to get Your Health Back into Shape After the Holidays

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Ottawa chapter.

It is extremely important to take care of ourselves, especially after like 4 months of stress. After indulging in junk and getting low sleep, it is finally time to get your perfect winter body. Here are 3 ways to get your health back into shape after the holidays!

Spend time with loved ones

Enjoy your moments with family and friends take the time to reconnect. It is important to be around people who give off good vibes which increase happiness and warmth within a person. This makes people emotionally in shape for the next semester.

Get lots of sleep

You probably heard this one a lot, and is probably the easiest one to follow. Make sure to rest a lot and try to get enough sleep. This way, you’ll be ready for your next all night study sesh.

Eat Full Meals

Now you can finally eat full meals instead of a granola bar for breakfast and a pack of chips for lunch. Reserve the time to eat fully nutritional and delicious meals. This will help your body acquire all the nutrition it needs and you’ll find yourself with more energy to function with.

There are plenty of ways to get the perfect healthy winter body rather than just working out and calorie counting; sometimes we forget to follow the basic human needs of love, sleep and food. Happy holidays and make sure to take care!
