With all the partying and Netflix binging during the holidays, we sometimes forget to make sure that our brain is doing fine. This way, the transition from no brain work to extensive school work can be done without the migraine. Here are 3 ways to keep your brain active and ready to go for the next semester!
Cardio
Cardio is known to really activate the brain. Cardio does not have to be just running, although I’m sure everyone loves to full on run in -30 weather. Spin or dance classes are fun and affordable ways to get your brain stimulated while also burning some calories.
Puzzles
This activity does not feel like a brain stimulant but acts like one. Sit down by the fire with family and friends (or by yourself) and enjoy a relaxing puzzle. Figuring out which piece is connected to the overall picture works the cognitive imaging section of our brain of which in result helps people think quicker.
Riddles
A good brain teaser or riddle is a fun family bonding game that helps you think outside of the box! After long hours of memorizing terms or formulas and following the structure of rules and regulations, it is nice to take a breather and challenge your brain in a more enjoyable way.Â
When it comes to exercise, not everything has to be a chore! Being healthy feels good and works wonders when it comes to our future selves. We only live once, so live life in the healthiest way!
