The Bachelor/Bachelorette

  • Get to live in the Bachelor mansion in L.A. and hopefully travel the world (if you make it far enough)
  • Get to meet Chris Harrison!!!!
  • Lots of alcohol (if you like to drink)
  • Maybe you will end up engaged
  • Get to know lots of amazing people through Bachelor nation
  • Maybe you will get to go on Bachelor in Paradise (Hello, Mexico!)

Cons:

  • America and the rest of the world are constantly judging you
  • You might get your heart broken
  • The producers might manipulate you or show parts of you, you don’t want others to see
  • Your privacy is gone
  • No connection to the outside world while on the show
  • The producers own your rights for two years after the show ends
  • You have to put your life on hold for an unknown period of time
  • You bring your own clothes and makeup so get ready to spend lots of $$

Notes: You have to be at least 21 years old and pass a psychological exam before being accepted.

  • Lots of cool opportunities in the singing world post show
  • Your coach will push you out of your comfort zone

Cons:

  • If singing isn’t your forte, this might not be for you

Pros:

  • You get to go to a very pretty tropical island
  • You’ll get to meet Jeff Probst

  • You will most likely be backstabbed by your team (blindsiding is the name of the game)
  • You might not always like your tribe mates
  • No showers (the ocean is very nice though)
  • No connection to the outside world while on the show
