10 Underrated Beyoncé Songs to Listen to in Honor of Homecoming

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Penn chapter.
“Superpower” ft. Frank Ocean

You’d probably like it because: Frank Ocean and Beyoncé. Not sure you need more persuasion than that.

“Die with You”

You’d probably like it because: There’s a live video Jay-Z took of her singing it while playing the piano, followed by a montage of video memories of the entire family. Who doesn’t live for any scrap of grainy footage of the royal family’s sweetest moments?

“Schoolin’ Life”

You’d probably like it because: If you, like me, miss old Beyoncé and want a good song to blast in your car with the windows down like you’re sixteen again.

“Rocket”

You’d probably like it because: Only Beyoncé can make a song this sexual sound this heavenly without ever running out of metaphors for the act. Also, her range though…

“Pray You Catch Me”

You’d probably like it because: You’ve watched Lemonade too many times (and if you haven’t, you should…like now) and this brings all the feelings back.

“Ring Off”

You’d probably like it because: You love a sad, but upbeat “moving-on” pop song. You probably also prefer Tina Knowles Lawson over Kris Jenner.

“Mine”

You’d probably like it because: You love Beyoncé and you love Drake and you need to kill six plus minutes while you mull over every relationship you’ve ever had.

“Resentment”

You’d probably like it because: You’ve been to a Beyoncé concert (or seen a video of one) and seen her cry her heart out to this one. Or maybe you’ve been through the same thing.

“Listen”

You’d probably like it because: You’ve seen Dreamgirls or maybe you just want some attention or enjoy belting out songs while you shower. It also makes you feel like you can actually sing.

“Grown Woman”

You’d probably like it because: You’re in college now and you feel like you can do whatever you want and can imagine saying this when you go home for break and your mom asks where you’re going this late at night.
