5 Valentine’s Day Brunch Spots in Philly

Green Eggs Café

212 South 13th Street

Famous for their brunch items that make you subtly undo the top button of your pants for some maximum belly-expansion, Green Eggs Café is the perfect place to try a sweet and a savory dish and share with your special someone! Try their signature and holiday-appropriate red-velvet pancakes or have your camera ready for some yolk-porn from their rich eggs benny.

Sabrina’s Café

227 North 34th Street

Though close to Drexel’s campus, Sabrina’s has become a staple in the brunch lives of Penn students.  The wait on weekends can be considerable, but that gives you more time to cuddle with your Valentine while you work up an appetite.  Try the sweet potato fries speckled with powdered sugar or the decadent stuffed challah french toast.

Renata’s Kitchen

4533 Baltimore Ave

Renata has reopened and it’s better than ever! A unique brunch spot with a Mediterranean twist is a great spot to get cozy in a booth.  Try the light yet satisfying Lemon Poppy seed pancakes or, if you’re feeling more adventurous, try the shakshouka mergues with spicy sausage and moroccan salsa.

The Farmacy Rx

4443 Spruce St

Take a nice walk up Spruce with your special someone to this homey restaurant who brings comfort food to a new level.  Try the chicken n’ waffles with creme brulee butter if you want sweet, or the huevos rancheros with mouth watering duck fried potatos if you’re in a more savory mood.

Ants Pants Cafe

2212 South Street

With Australian influences, this quaint spot has got everything your brunch-hungry brain can muster up.  If you’re feeling indecisive, order The Lot with scrambled eggs and cheese, french toast, tomatoes and bacon.  If you or your Valentine are vegetarian, try the sweet potato hash with golden beets, grilled fennel, and eggs with horseradish ginger aioli.
