The 7 Stages of Accepting Rainy Island Weather

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Vic chapter.

1. Normal Existence:

You’re running around under the clear blue skies. The weather is warm and all is wonderful.

2. Receipt of Bad News:

The clouds roll in, you see the first few drops, and all too quickly, it’s all over.

3. Denial:

It’ll stop soon. It won’t last long. If you ignore it it’ll go away.

4. Anger:

No. This isn’t happening. No!

5. Depression:

I literally can’t even.

6. Bargaining:

Please no. No more. I will trade my first born child for it to stop raining.

7. Acceptance:

You know what? Whatever. Let’s make the most out of this.
