Reality television is truly one of my favourite simple pleasures. Be it 90 Day Fiancé, Too Hot to Handle, or Million Dollar Listing New York, something about the combination of generic pop music and melodrama is enough to keep me coming back for more escapism programming. I started watching The Bachelor back during Nick Viall’s season, except, back in 2017 I didn’t realize that there was a whole other world dedicated to The Bachelor outside of the show. Pages like Reality Steve, a plethora of Bachelor-themed podcasts, and of course The Bachelor twitter thread that lights up every Monday night, all exist to enhance our viewing experience by providing behind-the-scenes-info, witty commentary, and even more drama. Here’s where Zachary Reality comes in- After he discovered reality tv at a young age when his Grandmother forced him to watch Survivor instead of Spongebob while she was babysitting, Zachary has since become an expert and enthusiast about many reality TV shows. Despite his expansive knowledge about reality television, his Bachelor content has proven to be his most popular as hisTikTok currently has over 300k followers. Zachary’s insight into all things “Bachelor Nation” is truly impressive; he predicted the end of Maurissa and Riley’s breakup, helped bring forth the redemption of the season 25 “villain” Anna Redman, and helped analyze the Missouri dating app drama surrounding the current Bachelor, Clayton Echard. Zachary also provides recaps and in-depth analysis of each episode, which is super helpful for those of us who just don’t have the time to watch the show, but want to keep updated on the drama.
Zachary creates TikToks, Youtube videos, Podcasts, and works as an on-air entertainment host in Los Angeles, He has conducted interviews with various Bach alumni and other reality tv-stars.
His research methods and analysis of the events that unfold on camera and behind the scenes provides viewers with a truly detailed viewing experience. For example, the current Bachelor, Clayton Echard, has had quite the dramatic season- His season has been filled with on and off-camera drama concerning his womanizing college days, his choice to enable season villain Shanae when she continuously attacked the other women in the house, and his decision to sleep with multiple women during fantasy suites among other things. With all of these things in mind,Clayton’s season has felt more exhausting than entertaining. However, Zachary has been following along with a detailed and well-reasearched analysis of all things Bachelor this season (including a couple Tik Toks about how apparently every college-age woman in Missouri has matched with Clayton on Bumble at some point). Zachary is here to spill the tea and serve the drama (even if The Bachelor producers try to keep him away). If The Bachelor isn’t your thing, fear not, Zachary covers a plethora of different reality shows as well including Love is Blind, Real Housewives, and The Circle. Whether you’re a dedicated fan of The Bachelor or only occasionally watch reality television, Zachary Reality has something for you.
