Name: Dillon IngleeMajor: Musical Theatre Hometown: Parker, Colorado Class Standing: SophomoreRelationship Status: SingleHello Laramie! Meet this week’s Campus Cutie, Dillon Inglee! Dillon is studying musical theatre at UW which means he’s not only cute–he can also sing to you so sweetly that your heart will melt. He is from Parker, Colorado, and is one in a set of triplets. Yes, you heard me, there are two other guys that look just like him. Unfortunately, they don’t live here, but in my opinion we got the best one! He even sings in the Happy Jacks men’s a capella group, and if you haven’t been to one of their concerts then you are seriously missing out.
HC: What is your favorite part about being a musical theatre major?DI: “My favorite part of being a musical theatre major would be the unspoken truth that no matter how often you wear the same sweatpants, nobody judges you. Everyone understands.”
HC: If you could have one dream role, who would you play? DI: “My dream role would be Enjolras is Les Miserables. I want to wave a flag, build a wall out of furniture and sing a high B. That’d be the best.”
HC: When you aren’t in Fine Arts practicing or performing, what do you like to do in your free time? DI: “You know, when I’m not practicing or rehearsing, I like to take 2 hour ‘power’ naps, go to the gym, and watch the Disney movies on Netflix while doing homework. My favorite Disney movie is Beauty and the Beast.”
HC: Who would you say is your role model, or someone you look up to?DI: “I guess my role model(s) would have to be my friends in the Happy Jacks for always knowing when to goof off and when to buck up. I also look up to Ramin Karimloo who (in my opinion) has the most marketable voice for both musical theatre and opera.”
HC: How do you get your hair to always look so perfect? DI: “To tell you the truth, I think the trick is to not worry about it. I put some ‘schlack’ in it before my morning class and that’s about it.”
HC: If you could travel to any country, where would it be and why? DI: “It would have to be either England, because of the West End productions, or New Zealand because it’s just such a beautiful place and I’ve always wanted to live there.”
HC: Describe your ideal first date.DI: “My ideal first date would definitely be taking her out to dinner and either seeing a cool new movie, or renting a goodie but oldie.”
HC: What is something you wish that you had known as a freshman? DI: “I wish I would’ve known that trying to fit into ‘the box’ that people already try to put you in, is a such waste of time. Just be yourself and choose to be happy.”
HC: What is your favorite animal and why?DI: “The giraffe, because we’re both tall, and they’re the only animals awake when I go to the zoo.”
HC: If you could have dinner with any celebrity, dead or alive, who would it be and why? DI: “As much as I would love to take Anna Kendrick out to dinner, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to sit down and talk with Luciano Pavarotti and learn from what he’d have to say.”So there you go ladies. Dillon is charming, sweet, handsome, and his singing voice is totally swoon-worthy. If you are ever near the Fine Arts building, make sure you keep an eye out for this cutie, and you might even be able to get him to sing for you!
