Why did you join HC?
I joined HC because of a friend from high school. When I was a freshman I didn’t have very many people to hang out with, but when I joined HC I was greeted by so many wonderful women and had an instant friend base.
What do you love about HC?
I love how I can write anything I want, whenever I want. It’s not easy for me to express myself, but HC has helped pull me from that shell.
What’s one thing about you that surprises people?
I can eat 10,000 calories worth of Hot Cheetos and Takis in 30 minutes.
Who, or what, is your biggest inspiration?
My family. They are just so awesome. I love them.
What are your favorite things to do in your free-time?
I love hanging out with my roommates, making hot lava cake, and watching movies. I also love to hiking/climbing whenever I get the chance.
When you go to a coffee shop, what drink do you order?
Chai Latte or London Fog.
What quote inspires you and why?
“Girls with dreams become women with vision.” I’ve always had big dreams, even as a young child and I am always trying to work towards those dreams.
Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your 18-year-old self?
You will lose the majority of your “friends” from high school. Use that “loss” to build new relationships that are actually meaningful.
If you could instantly become an expert in something, what would it be?
Mermaids, just cause.
What does success mean to you?
Doing what you love and being happy about it.
Where is your happy place?
The pool, swimming laps.
If you could invite 3 people, dead or alive, to a dinner party, who would they be, and why?
Princess Diana- I love her, she has always been an inspiration to me. She was never afraid to speak her mind and her influence is still greatly felt after years of being gone.
My Grandpa Henry- I just want to have dinner and talk with him one more time.
Emma Watson- I have been a lifelong Harry Potter fan, and I love all of the things she is doing for women and youth.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
(Hopefully) Graduating from Occupational Therapy school and still following my dreams.
Finally, why should anyone reading this join HC?
The people in HC are phenomenal. Everyone supports everyone, and you’ll never feel left out. (plus, we get snacks)
Any other thoughts?
If you’re on the fence, take the jump and try something new. You might really like HC.
