Her Campus: Why did you decide to attend school at UW?
Sydney Stein: I’m paying for school myself and UW was the best deal. Thank goodness, because UW has given me so many amazing opportunities!

SS: I loved Race, Gender and Ethnicity in the Media with Dr. Patton. The readings were interesting, and I learned a lot.
HC: What advice would you give to freshmen?
SS: Get as involved as you possibly can! Find out what you like, and stick with it. Don’t stop trying new things. That’s how you make friends and find your community and make a difference.

SS: Because Emily Cornell told me I should.
HC: What is your favorite article/event/memory from HC?
SS: My Taylor Swift article.
HC: Why would you encourage someone else to write for HC?
SS: You can write whatever you want, you meet lots of really cool women, and your voice gets heard!
