I keep my desk pretty organized since I do all of my homework there. I’ve realized I keep a few of the same things on my desk at school as I do at home. Here are a few items that make my workspace happier!
- Mint/Cinnamon Gum
I am an avid gum chewer, and I have my preferences. My go-to is mint; I think it’s a solid choice for any mood I’m in. For example, I tend to choose mint gum when I go to class since it helps me concentrate better. Cinnamon gum is a close second, it keeps its flavor longer, but I’m not always feeling the spicy mood.
2. Bulldog Lamp
Bulldogs are my favorite type of dog; they’re very chunky and cute. I’ve had a white bulldog lamp for a few years now, and it matches both my room at school and home, so it’s practical. I don’t have many decorations up in my room at the moment, so it makes me happy to see it sit all cute in the corner of my desk.
3. Coconut Lotion
Living in a cold place like Laramie will dry your skin out. My cracked hands are struggling out here. I keep a big bottle of lotion on my desk, so every time I look at it, it reminds me I need to put it on. The best lotion for my skin is Nivea’s coconut lotion – a godsend.
4. An ocean candle
Although I live in Wyoming, I love the beach. To be honest, I’m tired of looking at mountains all the time since I grew up in Colorado. I have relatives that live near Huntington Beach, California, and I’ve visited whenever the opportunity arose. Since I can’t get the real thing, the candle is a nice reminder.
5. Perfume
I was gifted one of those sample perfume sets in high school, and I found that I liked Dolce & Gabbana’s Light Blue scent. That was my scent for junior and senior years of high school. Why not now? Well, that’s because it’s about $60 for the smallest size. I have one small bottle left, it sits on my desk in a box, and I rarely use it. It’s a pretty box, though!
Well, I’m trying to keep the items on my desk at a minimum so I can pretend I’m organized, so that’s it!
