Fall semester is getting down to the wire. Fall break is just around the corner and only a couple weeks will be left in the semester after that! At this point in the semester, professors seem to be piling on the work and quite frankly we’re probably all due for a quick pick-me-up. Try some of our tips on how to treat yourself to slow down the hustle and bustle of the mid-semester.

1. Look good, feel good.

I’ll be the first to say that looks aren’t everything, but I can’t deny that I feel a little better when I think I look my best. The weather is getting colder and it’s time to say goodbye to all those summer vibes, even if you’re not ready yet. You can hold onto that summer glow by trying out L’oreal’s streak-free Bronze Hydrating Self-Tanning Milk! This tanning milk will give you a moisturized glow as you continue to use it.

Mid-semester you might also be feeling exhausted and sometimes it starts to show. A quick tip on how to make yourself look more awake is to use a good mascara! The mascara helps to make your eyes look bigger and more awake. The Big Tease Mascara by BUXOM is great for plumping and creating longer lashes!

At the end of the day, makeup or tanning may not even be the best you. Maybe you feel the best with a fresh face. Garnier’s Micellar Cleansing Water All-In-One Waterproof is the perfect product to get rid of all the makeup and dirt that has built up on your face throughout the day. Micellar water tackles the tough grit on your skin without being too harsh.

2. Change things up.

Being in your dorm all the time can become a drag. When you first moved in it might have been the most exciting place to be, but now we’re halfway through and the best part about it is being able to climb into bed at night. Treat yourself by giving your environment the upgrade it deserves! There are so many ways to go about it, but we suggest a DIY! Krazy Glue’s All Purpose Single’s are great to have on hand when it comes to DIY projects. You can glue practically anything together with Krazy Glue and you won’t have to worry about it falling apart! Check out our Pinterest for some fun ideas to DIY.

Fragrance is another easy way to switch up your room. You can change the scent of your room based on the season and fall is arguably the best season for fragrance. Bath & Body Works Wallflowers are not only good for making your dorm smell good, but they’re also super cute! They come in tons of different styles and all you have to do is choose a scent and plug it in. Plus, you don’t have to worry about breaking the candle rule!

On that note, it’s always a good time to try out a new fragrance for yourself! With the seasons in transition, you may be ready to put down the summery scents and reach for something a little warmer. Katy Perry’s Indi Fragrance is a great choice and it’s college budget friendly! The fragrance includes 11 different musks, with hints of vanilla, cedarwood and oriental plum that are perfect for fall.

3. Fuel up with some good eats!

There are not too many college students out there who don’t love to snack. Late nights cramming for exams or just hanging with friends usually calls for some quick snacks. There’s nothing better than treating yourself to a snack when you know it’s also good for you!  Organic GĹŤL Bars are gluten-free, high in protein and free of added sugar. They’re perfect to grab for on the go or when you need a midnight snack. We recommend their Chocolate Sea Salt and Maple Sea Salt flavors!

Let’s face it, the dining hall was cool for all of 0.5 seconds. Yes, there’s a ton of healthy options, but sometimes it gets boring. Spice things up with Frank’s Red Hot, the #1 hot sauce brand in America! Their pouches are sized just right to store in your backpack. Take your hot sauce with you to the dining hall to spice things up! “I got hot sauce in my bag, swag.” – Beyoncé

4. Go out and shop for something useful!

Now that it’s colder out, it’s a good time to justify adding some pieces to your wardrobe. More jeans, sweaters, and boots don’t sound bad at all. Shopping is by far one of the best pick-me-ups, but it doesn’t always have to be clothes and accessories. Sometimes it’s good to take the time to pick up something that will keep you safe in the long run. It’s important to keep your safety first, especially on a college campus. SABRE offers a lot of products that are good for all of you collegiette’s that want to take the extra step towards safety on campus. SABRE’s personal alarm key rings are easy to attach to your keys and keep with you on a night out. The alarm is easy to use and it’s audible up to 600 ft. away to signal help if you are ever in danger. The brand also offers drink testing kits that you can use if you’re in doubt while out drinking.
