1. Fall Festival
Explore the communities in your area by visiting a fall festival. This is a great way experience new things together. You can try different foods, play games, listen to local musicians, or walk around various community artists booths.
Â
2. Pumpkin Patch
Spend the day with your “pumpkin” looking for the perfect pumpkin for carving or painting. Also enjoy other activities located onsite such as hay rides and maybe even a cup of hot chocolate. You can even look local and support a pumpkin patch in your community.
Â
3. A Night In
A night in can be anything you want it to be. Cuddle up with your partner and watch one of your favorite Halloween movies. You could even spend the night painting/carving pumpkins to your heart’s content or making Halloween themed cookies.
Â
4. Boo at the Zoo
The Birmingham Zoo hosts a variety of Halloween decorations and activities during the month of October. Walk around or hop on the train to enjoy the views. You won’t want to forget to stop for candy and maybe even wear your costumes if you are still children at heart (if it’s family friendly).

5. Haunted House or Trail
If you are thrill seeking people or just want a good scare, head on out to a haunted house or trail. It would be a frighteningly good time. You can find a few in the area if you check out Tamia Heard’s article “5 Fun Activities for This Fall in Birmingham!”.
