It’s that time of year again, Starbucks has reintroduced the iconic red cup, and the holidays are right around the corner. So here’s the top four of the seasonal drinks Starbucks has to offer this year:
1. Peppermint Mocha
440 calories, 54 grams of sugar
Starbuck’s peppermint mocha takes you deep into the holiday spirit. The drink exhibits the perfect mix of chocolate and peppermint, that doesn’t have you searching for the nearest hose to wash your mouth out. The flavors compliment each other very nicely, and it is the perfect drink to try this holiday season.
2. Gingerbread Latte
330 calories, 38 grams of sugar
The gingerbread latte is at a strong number 2, as the drink literally tastes as though you took one of your grandmother’s gingerbread cookie, ground it up and made a coffee out of it. The flavors of the drink seem to never fade, and the taste of gingerbread is strong up until the very last drop. This is a drink you have to try this holiday season, and if coffee isn’t your cup of tea (wink wink) ask for it to be made as a hot chocolate. As either a latte or hot chocolate the gingerbread flavor does not disappoint.
3. Snicker doodle Hot Chocolate
420 calories, 53 grams of sugar
This hot chocolate is like drinking a cookie in a cup, if you’re a fan of the gingerbread latte you’re sure to be a fan of this one too. Whether walking across campus in cold weather, or sitting on the couch and watching a movie this drink is perfect for all occasions. Be sure to try it this holiday season.
4. Caramel Brulée Latte
450 calories, 47 grams of sugar
This is a good choice for someone who wants that smooth caramel flavor in his or her coffee, but does not want it to overpower everything else. The flavors of this latte blend together nicely to create a latte perfect for everyone to enjoy. Be sure to go out and try this latte this holiday season, it is a must have treat.
Those are my top four picks on Starbuck’s holiday menu this year. So go out there and enjoy the holiday season, and maybe a Starbucks drink or two.
