The Phoenix Scholars Berkeley is currently seeking Cal students who are interested in mentoring low-income, first generation college bound high school seniors. Mentors of TPS provide these high school seniors the confidence and tools to reach their goals of becoming a college student at the university of their dreams.
As a mentor, you will have the opportunity to support 1-2 students during the college admissions process. You would help build a college list, edit personal statement drafts, assist with scholarship applications, and answer any questions your mentee may have. We are very proud to be a part of so many success stories. In The Phoenix Scholar’s first year, scholars gained acceptance into some of the top schools in the nation, including: 7 Stanford admits, 21 UC Berkeley admits, 8 USC admits and 3 Harvard admits.
