5 FALL ACTIVITIES TO DO WITH YOUR BESTIES THIS HOLIDAY SEASON

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UC Berkeley chapter.

Fall in Berkeley is absolutely stunning as the leaves change to a vibrant orange, and the weather brings a slight chill to the air. As this season amps up, we must start making the most of our fall time. The best way to do that this fall season is to share it with the ones you love the most. Grab your best friends and start planning these fun events you can throw at home and even some in a dorm room!

1. Dinner Party

Throw a cute fall-themed dinner party with your closest friends. Work together to cook a nice, warm meal to share with each other. Drink apple cider and put out your favorite fall-themed Trader Joe’s snacks. Bake some warm pumpkin bread for dessert or eat some limited edition ice cream flavors — better yet, do both! Making dinner at school often becomes a hassle, so taking this time to enjoy fall and your friends’ company is the perfect way to ring in the fall season.

2. Sleepover

Growing up, sleepovers were just about my favorite thing to do, so why not keep doing them in college? Invite your friends over for some fall baking fun and a movie marathon. Whether it’s something hard like a pie or a quick easy bake like cookies, enjoy the process of making it together. Once you’re done, put on your favorite Halloween/fall movie, and enjoy your much-needed girls’ time.

3. Pumpkin Carving Night

Pumpkin carving never really gets old. Buy a bunch of pumpkins and invite your friends over to start carving. You could even paint on the pumpkins instead! Play upbeat music and have fun creating your own design. Your friends can take theirs home and display it outside. Now everyone knows you’ve got that fall spirit.

4. Decorating Party

My roommates and I have been slowly building our fall holiday decoration collection. We’ve been pulling out old decorations from our dorm last year and finding some cute new decor at Target, although, we have yet to put any of it up. Might as well make it fun and create a party out of it. Put on your favorite fall record (ours is Red by Taylor Swift) and start putting up that decor. If you haven’t bought any decorations yet, go as a group and have fun shopping together. This is the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit. Match your internal fall energy by decorating your dorm or apartment.

5. Fall Craft Day

Last, but surely not least, is a fall craft day! Everyone, no matter how old you get, loves to make crafts. Do some research and find some fall crafts you would want to do. You can create little fall designs on champagne glasses with paint or decorate candles with melted wax. These two crafts are especially perfect, as you can use them when doing the other fall activities above.

These are just some simple, but fun fall activity ideas you can do this season, conveniently right in your home. It’s important to break up the grueling midterm studying with some much-needed fall-themed fun for you and all your friends.
