My philosophy in life is that everything is better in its miniature form. Even the word “mini” is better than “miniature.” It’s called “fun-sized” for a reason after all. Here is a mini list of items that are just better mini:

Cupcakes

Three mini cupcakes equal one regular-sized cupcake. In this case, the more the merrier.

M&Ms

Mini M&Ms are my go-to impulse buy when I’m waiting in the grocery store checkout line. Even the container for mini M&M’s is so much cuter. The mini rule applies to any food item for that matter.

Toiletries

Deodorant, shampoo, perfume, or moisturizer, the list goes on! Travel-size toiletry items are much more fun than bulky bottles. I’ll admit that there is less product in mini bottles, but you can often get them for free as samples. Plus, travel-size items imply a trip!

Kitchen appliances

Mini kitchen appliances give us our mini food items, so of course, this one is essential. One of my favorite gifts I’ve ever received is a mini waffle maker.

Legos

I know this one seems a bit off, but hear me out. You’re thinking: Aren’t legos already mini? Yes, but think of the even smaller legos ‒ the cup that a lego person holds, the hairpieces, the accessories. Those were always the lego pieces I went for as a kid.

Next time you’re thinking of buying or making any of these items, opt for the mini version and thank me later.

When she’s not reading or writing, you can catch her binging the newest series on Netflix, blasting Taylor Swift’s entire discography on repeat, or on a battery-draining phone call with her sister. Thalia is passionate about writing in whatever form possible; her favorite things to write include poetry, short fiction, and personal essays. Her Campus allows Thalia the creative freedom to explore her interests on paper and grow as a writer.
