Fall may have started for the rest of the states, but here in sunny So-Cal, it still feels every bit of summer as it did in July. The unseasobaly high temps haven’t stopped stores from putting on their fall window displays, though. It’s hard to imagine wearing knee-high boots and sipping on pumpkin spiced lattes when it’s 80 degrees. Hopefully fall arrives sooner than later, even if it’s only for a short while.
1.    The Maxi Skirt
The maxi skirt is easily transitioned from summer to fall. Worn with different tops and accessories, maxi skirts are very versatile.
During the summer, maxi skirts look great with crop tops because they create a lean silhouette for any body type. The same effect can be produced with sweaters, cropped or tucked in. Maxi skirts give off the perfect casual-chic vibe.
Another cute pairing is an off-the-shoulder sweater that reveals just a little skin. Alternatively, fisherman kinits create a cozy look, perfect for snuggling up with a cup of hot cocoa.Â
2.    Summer Dresses
Now for the second piece of clothing: summer dresses! The best way to turn a summer dress into a fall outfit is by adding tights, a long cardigan, and some boots. Black tights will instantly convert your summer dress into a fall staple. Summer dresses will remind you of past summery days and get you through the gloomy weather.
3.    Shorts
Denim and leather shorts are easily fall pieces when paired with tights. Instead of traditional black, opt for warmer colors such as maroon or emerald green. Plaid high waisted shorts, coupled with wool tights, look just as great with knee-high boots.
