*Spoiler Alert*
Spencer, come out come out wherever you are
As MonA lurks the liars become worried when Spencer does not respond to their SOS and misses school.
Things become worse when Melissa shows up asking for her sister.
Spencer meanwhile, is enjoying her dream vacation while she awaits her psych evaluation at Radley Sanitarium.
Spencer is thrown back into reality when one of the orderlies turns out to be Eddie Lamb, the owner of the badge Toby used to get into Radley. Eddie and Toby shared some history; apparently Toby’s mother was treated at Radley.
Eddie also informs Spencer that she is staying in MonA’s room…dun dun dun
Troian Bellisario continues her brilliant work as an emotionally torn apart teen and in one of the most moving scenes of the season, Spencer describes how bad things have gotten and how
“Its been very nice not being Spencer Hastings”
Mona also visits Spencer at her home away from home and tells her she can answer all of her questions. One of them is that Alli was never pregnant.
Spencer threatens to choke her again if she doesn’t leave, seeing as she is already crazy and Mona makes a comment about Spencer being as sane as Mona…Sh&t is real
#SpencerCraystings is later seated in a circle and confuses two fellow patients and Dr. Sullivan for Emily, Aria, and Hanna; things are more serious than they appear for Spencer.
Wilden is Alive!
Ashley continues her search for the detective she ran over two episodes ago. Unbeknownst to her, Hanna has gotten rid of all the evidence by pushing the car in the river.
Hanna encourages her mother to move on and go to her work seminar in New York where they would not mind moving. But would A even allow this?
Ashley and Hanna visit Ted, Ashley’s boyfriend, when all of a sudden they turn and detective creep is there! Wilden says he had gone fishing wich is ironic since thanks to Hanna his car is swimming with the fishes.
Later, Hanna finally convinces her mother to take her trip to New York and just as her mother is leaving Hanna receives a visit from Wilden who just wants his car back.
A Bumpy Road for Ezria
Things for Ezra and Aria aren’t getting any better. With Maggie and Ezra both out of jobs and with no support from his family things are becoming increasingly difficult for the dysfunctional couple.
Aria seeks help from her father Byron. Aria hopes to help get Ezra a job. Byron goes to see his ex-wife Ella and they talk about the possibility of getting a job for Ezra which might lead him to break things off with Aria.
However, Bryon does not go through with this and tells Ezra he wants to help him with his situation.
Just as things look like they are turning around for Ezra who is able to get a substitute position at Rosewood. Things go bad as it seems someone alerted the district about his relationship with Aria and she is called into the principal’s office and just before this she had a spat with Mona in the restroom. Coincidence? I think not.
Aria lies and tells the Principle that she has never and is not currently in a relationship with Mr. Fitz. (Foreshadowing perhaps).
She doesn’t even go here!
Emily gets a rare visit from Olympic gold medalist Missy Franklin at the cafe but the surprise is that the person who brings the visitor is Paige’s ex, Shana.
Shana happens to be a swimmer herself and is surprised that Paige never mentioned this to Emily. (Why is Shana still making an appearance?)
Questions: Could Aria and Ezra be headed towards splitsville? Could Spencer actually be losing it? What’s up with Shana? And more importantly what’s up with Melissa’s hair?
