1. Enzian Theater
Traditional movie theaters nowadays cost about as much as dinner at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. The Enzian Theater is a cheaper alternative that shows classic films for under $10.
2. Roadtrip to St. Augustine
Other than gas, taking a drive up to St. Augustine, Florida is a completely free place to walk around and explore a historic city. With hundreds of stores and restaurants to roam in, settling for ice cream at Kilwin’s is an expensive way to spend an afternoon.
3. Fun Spot
This touristy attraction is filled with rides and Go-Karts. You can buy tickets for each ride or Go-Kart individually which costs less than $10.
4. Wekiwa Springs State Park
From swimming in the springs to having your own barbecue, this state park is a fun, outdoorsy place to spend the day. It costs $6 to park for the day and use the facilities.
5. Disney Springs
With free parking and lots of places to walk around, Disney Springs, formerly known as Downtown Disney, is an inexpensive place to spend a day.
6. Sak Comedy Club
This improv comedy club was voted Orlando’s top theater in 2015, so you can expect a night of laughter. With tickets as low as $5, it is an inexpensive night out.
7. Ice Skating at RDV Sportsplex
For $7 you can spend hours skating around whenever the rinks are open. This is the biggest ice rink in Orlando, and there is nothing wrong with college students letting out their inner figure skater.
8. Attend CAB events
The Campus Activities Board (CAB) puts on events many times throughout the year to entertain students such as comedy shows, concerts and pageants. With entertainment and activities to appeal to any type of student, these inexpensive events are really worth a visit. The upcoming Bob Saget comedy show, for example, starts at only $5 for a ticket.
9. Rising Star
This karaoke club at Universal CityWalk is a very unique place to spend an evening. This club is ages 21+ on the weekends and 18+ during the week with $7 cover. It is a great opportunity to show off your musical talents to a group of tourists you will likely never see again, so why not try belting a new Adele song?
10. College bars
And of course every stereotypical college student needs to spend their fair share of nights at the bar. Cover is never more than $10 at the local college bars and is a fun, easy way to go out with friends locally.
