Demi has been slaying life for the past few weeks. From her “Cool for the Summer” hit, to her badass, empowering nude photo shoot in Vanity Fair, nothing can stop our girl Demi. Read more to find out why Demi is second to no other female artist in my book.
1) I have grown up with her.
I grew up watching Demi. While I didn’t catch her during her Barney days, I was well on board by As the Bell Rings and Camp Rock, which was middle school for me (and I’m halfway through college) and still jamming to her. I think we are for life.
2) She keeps it real AF.
Demi has become the type of person who tells you how it is. Whether it’s an interview, or friend troubles, she will help it real with those in her life and her Lovatics.Â
3) Her music is on point.
I still listen to her first album, and it came out when I was in middle school. I was a child, and now I am a grown woman and still have it on my playlist on Spotify. I also have her new stuff too. She is like wine; she gets better with time.
4) Girl has gone through he-double hockey sticks, and lived to tell the tale.
Since her Disney days, Demi has been one of the most relatable celebrities in Hollywood. She has gone through eating disorders, cutting, and body images issues. As women, we can relate to these topics. Demi did it publicly, and while it must have been tough, she helped other women and myself see that we weren’t the only ones feeling like we weren’t good enough. Looking at how far Demi has come with her self-esteem is inspiring and empowering.Â
5) She knows exactly who she is and won’t apologize for it.
She knows who she is as a woman, what she wants from her caree,r and she is not going to let anyone stand in her way.
I can only image what else she has in store for us. #Lovatic4Life
