We can all hope that ONE DAY we will be blessed by the seasons ACTUALLY changing in this Sunshine State…
1. Expectation: The weather gets crispy and cool and the leaves will change color.
Reality: The weather is in the 80’s with humidity and high chances of rain. The leaves don’t change color on the palm trees.Â
2. Expectation: Drinking warm coffee beside the fireplace with a blanket to keep us warm.
Reality: Iced beverages only: smoothies, iced coffees, teas and lemonades are drank beside the pool or beach.Â
3. Expectation: We can experience sweater weather: sweaters, boots, high socks, and a scarf.
Reality: Shorts, skirts, tank tops, sandals, and if it’s in the 70’s, a cardigan. Our boots are our high top Converse.
I guess which state you live in, whether its season’s change or not, the main thing is to make the best out of it. In Alaska they have 30 days or darkness and lightness, they come down to Florida to have the weather we have. During the winter seasons, people from Florida travel up North, like Washington, to see snow for the first time. I know it is very easy to trap our minds with what we WANT and what we HAVE, but just the hope that one day, if we’re financially able to travel to other states, cities, and even countries, we can. One can only hope we’ll miss our home and the memories we had…
