What do I have in common with Julie Andrews and Ariana Grande? I too have a list of favorite things that I would love to sing about. Unfortunately, no one has offered me a recording contract yet, so I’ll just list the best things about UCF below!Â
1. Knugget
…aka the newest and cutest mascot on the planet. UCF’s Knugget is a joy to see in person and online. If you see this cutie on campus, definitely snap some pics—he has awesome social media game!Â
2. The Reflection Pond
Leaving the library and relaxing at the most beautiful spot on campus is always a good idea. Day or night, this is the best spot to rest on campus.
3. Light Up UCF
UCF has the best of both worlds with an on-campus winter wonderland and perfect 70-degree weather all winter long.
4. Tailgates on Memory Mall
Football season is great, but tailgating is where the real fun is at. Memory Mall is one big party for Knights before games. Gold glitter is an acceptable replacement for highlighter and UCF outfits are required. #GKCO
5. Knightro
He is always down for a selfie and spreads school spirit 24/7. Truly a mascot worth diving into the reflection pond with.
6. The Art Gallery
A really awesome space to explore between classes is the UCF Art Gallery. The exhibits change often so it is always fresh and exciting to pop in and see what they have going on.
7. Black and Gold
Some schools have less complementary spirit colors. Let’s be real, no one has ever looked good in orange. Black and gold are classic and fun, the perfect combo for spirit wear.
8. Spirit Ducks
If you manage to collect one of the ducks thrown during spirit splash you are a very lucky person. Four years of college and all I have to show for it will be one degree and ZERO ducks.
9. Universal Knights
My favorite night of the year is when UCF gives students free tickets to Universal Studios! Rain or shine, heading to a theme park for free is always a great experience. I truly believe free admission to Hogwarts should be standard for all college students.
10. All my friends!
Okay, this might just be me, but UCF has all my favorite people, and I am so grateful to live here and experience this amazing school with them by my side!
