With events, assignments, to-do lists, and fully-stacked classes, I have to admit that self-care has not been my highest priority. Thankfully, it’s all slowly winding to a close! But until then, it’s important not to let yourself burn out during finals week.
Here are a few ways I plan to take care of myself while balancing my lifestyle during this busy time— and how you can, too!
using the surrounding area for work and pleasure.
The immediate UCF area has treated me well with restaurants and shops, and will be great for relaxing during the stressful week. Having study sessions at the coffee shops, thrifting in between exams, and walking around the cute area for a break will be a great way to get out of the library and help me take care of myself during such a stressful time of year.
Taking Care of My Skin
Though the hot Florida sun has forced me to remember my daily dose of sunscreen, I can’t pretend I haven’t fallen off with other forms of skincare. Since my previous cleanser ran out last fall, my skin has been begging for some attention, especially to address my main skin concerns, like dryness, post-acne marks, and dullness.
Luckily, using the new Estée Lauder Nutritious collection, I’ve been able to devote time to take care of my skin, even with my busy schedule.
First, I use the 2-in-2 Foam Cleanser for a daily day-and-night rinse, which helps remove excess oil and impurities. I follow that with the Radiant Essence Lotion, which helps minimize pores. Finally, I finish up my routine with the Nutritious Melting Soft Créme/Mask, which hydrates and strengthens the skin, and helps smoothen any unwanted roughness while assisting in clearing up and clarifying. This product trio allows me to easily take care of my skin during finals season!
Read fiction books (That Aren’t For School)
While I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the subject matter of my classes this semester, I’ve really missed taking a second to lay on a cozy blanket at Lake Eola and crack open a good story. With most of my class readings being articles and analysis, reading books on my TBR with an iced drink, and relaxing music playing softly, I will be granted the peace and quiet I’ve been missing.
Even with finals season, it’s important to give yourself attention and self-care! So, start with these tips for de-stressing and relaxing, try out Estée Lauder’s Nutritious line, and get ready to take care of yourself for the rest of the semester! Good luck!
