Miss Fanatic 2012 Collection

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCF chapter.

I don’t know about you, but I am sick of putting together the perfect game day outfit only to be wearing similar to the exact same outfit as at least 10 other fellow tailgaters. Luckily for us, there is a local company that has provided us with fresh and sexy game day gear. Started by a former Miami Dolphins Cheerleader and based here in Orlando, Miss Fanatic is a collegiate fashion company that blurs the line between fashion and sports teams. The company was started up a few years ago by owner and designer Tiffany Pearl, and has been inching its way to the top ever since. With a strong National presence, Miss Fanatic offers apparel for over 30 of the top universities throughout the country. All of the merchandise is manufactured here in the USA, which is very important to this young, proud American entrepreneur. Miss Fanatic has changed the image of the female sports fan from the girl in the oversized jersey to the sports fanatic with team spirit and style.

On February 11th, I had the pleasure of being on set for the photo shoot for the Miss Fanatic Spring 2012 Collection, and I have to say it was one of the most amazing experiences of my professional life. The newest collection, designed by Tiffany, includes more variations to their already infamous bathing suit collection such as an assortment of several differently designed crop tops, leggings, skirts and dresses. With a variation of schools and styles to choose from, Miss Fanatic has something for every female sports fan! This year’s collection was shot at the Fun Spot in Orlando and provided a perfect backdrop for the fun personality of the line. Several locations were used around the park such as the carousel, go-karts, Ferris Wheel and the arcade. All shots were taken by an amazing photographer, Daniel Kuykendall, who added the perfect touch to make these exciting shots look glamorous!

The six models used in the campaigns for the past two years are former Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders as well as some of the designer’s closest friends. (Let’s hear it for the South Florida love!) Each girl had their own shot where they were the focal point and several group shots. The day’s shots were used to focus on key pieces in the new collection in addition to the lifestyle Miss Fanatic is selling to the female college sports fan. With several colleges featured in the line, it is bound to keep the ultimate UCF fan happy as well as all the girls who root for many other teams across the nation! Be sure to check out the Miss Fanatic website at www.missfanatic.com and “like” the Facebook page to see the rest of the line and to see where you can buy your new game day gear!

Here are a few shots I took of the line during the day!
