Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and many of us have a special someone in mind. Whether that be a significant other or one of your besties, it’s a special day to celebrate! A lot of us want to have fun and create lasting memories, yet we are broke college students. Don’t stress any longer — these ideas can help you make the most of your V-day experience!
- Picnic and a Charcuterie Board
-
If you want something simple and fun, this is the perfect approach. Spend time with your valentine by making a charcuterie board out of your favorite snacks, whether that be Oreos and chips, or cheese and grapes! After your snacks are all packed, lay out a blanket in a scenic area, such as the Reflection Pond in the heart of UCF or near the Lake Claire beachfront.
- Stargazing
-
This idea is perfect for astrological lovers, and it only requires two things — a warm blanket and an open space to look up at the night sky. Bond over seeking out different constellations, and cozy up under the twinkling stars.
- Poetry Night
-
Turn on some relaxing music and write a poem for each other. Read them out loud for a fun, heartwarming memory that can help you get creative through writing and rhyming. This will surely bring you closer together!
- Netflix And Chill
-
Make a cute fort with your valentine adorned with pillows, blankets and fairy lights. After the fort is complete, set up your laptop or TV and turn on a romantic movie such as The Notebook or Titanic.
- Photoshoot
-
Drive around with your valentine until you come across a pink building or some sparkling lights. Set up a timer cam and take pictures with one another. This idea creates both perfect memories and cute Instagram pictures.
All in all, Valentine’s Day can be celebrated without putting a dent in the pocket. Have fun, and cherish the time you spend with that special someone!
