Week 2.. still workin’ on your fitness?
Okay. So. I have to admit, the past two days I haven’t been able to work out. I feel guilty. However, I was doing a really great job and even integrated a mile run on the treadmill with the exercises Nicole posted.
I worked out 7 days in a row, which is a huge step for me. The only thing I can say is… it got really, really hard. My muscles were killing me. Everything hurt from my shoulders to my calves.
It was amazing! I know it’s crazy, but it was the best feeling. Which sounds weird. But I actually felt good about my body for the first time in a long time.
Have I seen results? Yes, I think so. My legs are looking more toned and my tummy seems to have slimmed down a little bit.
But most importantly: I’ve been doing this for myself.
I think as college students, most of us are buzzing around and doing things for class, for our friends and boyfriends. But what do we do for just us? Happy hour doesn’t count.
In just one week I’ve learned to make just 30 minutes for myself. And it’s made a huge difference on how I feel. And I would take that over losing 25 pounds any day… well… maybe.
Overall, I think I’m getting somewhere. Don’t let the midterm blues get you next week. Keep working, even if it’s only a 15-minute workout. In the end you’ll feel better just because you did something.
Oh and P.S.- ONE WEEK UNTIL SPRING BREAK!!!
