Los Angeles is surrounded by fun activities and theme parks, and The UCLA Central Ticket Office has discounted tickets for students for many attractions in the area! For some, you can buy them directly online with a provided link, but for others, you may have to go in person to the UCLA Central Ticket Office on campus at 325 Westwood Plaza. For online tickets, you just have to sign in with your college email address, and in-person you have to bring your BruinCard. One important thing to note, however, is the in-person office only accepts cash or debit card and does not accept credit cards.
- Universal Studios Hollywood
-
Home to Hollywood’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter and the famous Studio Tour, Universal Studios Hollywood is a big Los Angeles must-do and they know it (which may be why ticket prices are objectively not the cheapest). While availability may vary, the ticket office offers both Universal Studios Hollywood day passes and season passes. Discounted prices also vary, but the day passes are usually around $10 cheaper, while the season passes are around $20 cheaper.
- Knott’s Berry Farm
-
From rides like “HangTime” to “Montezooma’s Revenge,” Knott’s Berry Farm decidedly has the most thrilling attractions in comparison to any of the other places on this list. It’s no wonder why so many UCLA students pay the park a visit. UCLA’s ticket office has an affiliate link with Knott’s Berry Farm, where day passes for Monday through Thursday are $58 and weekend day passes are $61. Current online prices are $62.99 for weekdays and $64.99 on weekends until the middle of March.
- medieval times
-
Medieval Times is a famous dinner and show event in Los Angeles and it definitely is one-of-its-kind. Audience members sit in an arena, where they are served multiple courses and are entertained by King Arthur and the Round Table knights and jousting. This attraction has the biggest UCLA-sponsored savings on this list — normally tickets are $65.95 for adults and $30.95 for children 12 and under, but through the UCLA Central Ticket Office link, adult tickets are $49.95, while children’s tickets are $30.95.
Many colleges have cool perks that students don’t even realize they have access to because they aren’t well-known or well-advertised. I was so surprised when I found out there were even small discounts for these experiences, and honestly, I’ll take whatever I can get. Hopefully, these ticket finds can also help you save some money and get some perks out of your college tuition.
