January 13 was the fateful day. It happened to many of us, myself included – Coachella sold out in 3 hours before you even knew tickets were on sale. With headliners Black Keys, Radiohead, and Snoop Dog/Dr. Dre, it’s not too surprising. Besides the impressive headliners, the 3-day event packs in dozens of other impressive names earlier in the day. Check out the full line-up here: http://www.coachella.com/lineup. So you’re wondering, how do I weasel my way into Coachella?! If you’re ticketless and on a budget, here are 3 opportunities for you to win Coachella tickets for free. It’s worth a try, seeing as tickets for this year’s festival are going for as much as $23,810 (http://www.scpr.org/blogs/news/2012/01/13/4276/coachella-2012-would-you-pay-23810-tickets/).

1.KROQ
KROQ radio station has an easy contest going on right now called Real Band/Fake Band: Coachella Edition. All you have to do is take a short and silly quiz, where you decide which of the listed bands is a real band playing at Coachella this year. You’re then taken to a link for entry in the contest. You’ll have to make an account on KROQ’s website to enter. You can enter this one up to once a week, so be persistent!

2. Live105
Live105 is another radio station with a Coachella ticket giveaway. You go to the giveaway website and have to go through a number of pages until you “find” the entry link. Although it may be a way to get more view counts on their website, it could mean a free Coachella ticket for you. I’d say it’s worth a try.
