At first, UCLA can seem like a dauntingly large campus. With a student body of over 28,000 students, UCLA is more like a mini city than a college. But over time we begin to realize the similarities we share of being a Bruin that ultimately draw us all together. Here are 7 things only Bruins understand:
1. Your claim to fame is being able to go from the Hill to Broad in less than 15 minutes. But was all that running really worth it?
2. You know BPlate will be unreasonably packed when it’s Chipotle Chicken Bowl night, but you go anyways. BONUS: The Covel Omlette line doesn’t faze you anymore. True BPlaters never let the lines discourage their appetite.
3. You know how to successfully navigate through Boba and Bread sales, flyers for various school clubs, and the occasional protest all while holding a cup of coffee.
#Bruinwalk goals.
4. Your favorite meme has something to do with Chancellor Block.YOU’VE BEEN GENE BLOCKED.
5. If you have a lecture in La Kretz or Humanities, you know finding a seat in class will be equivalent to hiking Mount Everest.Just why are these lecture halls so steep?!
6. When someone tells you they live in Hedrick, you automatically start giving them a pep talk about the walk.
“Don’t worry! It can only get better from here! Your legs will look great!”
7. You know your heart will hurt when you have to leave this beautiful campus.North and South Campus Majors alike all share the same pain.
