The highly anticipated American Music Awards show is just around the corner and Her Campus at UCLA is delighted to present our readers with the list of 2018 nominees! As the world’s largest fan-voted awards show, music lovers are able to see many of their favorite artists be recognized and perhaps even awarded. From a variety of different music genres, the show celebrates the music industry and highlights the best moments that have taken place this past year. Newcomers of the music scene as well as the biggest names will be joining together for the special night, and star-studded performances can be expected to impress. Winners of the AMAs are notably all voted by fans, demonstrating the significance of fan interactions for nominations. Fans can vote once per day, per voting platform via VoteAMAs.com or by posting a tweet on Twitter that includes the nominee’s name or Twitter handle, the category name and #AMAs within the tweet. Actress, comedian, and television host, Tracee Ellis Ross, will be returning as the host of the evening and the show will be broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater right here in Los Angeles. Cardi B and Drake are currently tied for Most Nominated Artist, each stacked with an impressive number of 8 potential wins. Camila Cabello could also be winning her first AMA as a solo artist.
