Good Girls is back for its third season, returning in full swing with new scandals, drama and of course, some good ol crime. With its racey new episode airing this week, we are itching  for some answers. Let’s recap our favorite jaw-dropping moments from this week’s episode, “Find Your Beach”:
- Rio is back!Â
-
The most obvious memorable moment of the episode: our favorite criminal boss is not actually dead. Last season, we were left wondering what would happen to Rio after Beth shot him to save Agent Turner’s life. Minutes into the show, we see a healthy and unbothered Rio staying at a hotel alongside… Agent Turner. An unlikely alliance that saved Rio’s life shocks us all, proving that there really is no escaping Rio.
- A very guilty Beth makes a new BFF.Â
-
Beth acting like a human being after shooting a man multiple times was much needed. In a wholesome park scene, we see Beth watching over Rio’s son while chatting it up with his ex-wife. Beth feels a great amount of guilt for leaving Rio’s son without his father and decides to befriend Rio’s ex wife, Rhea, played by Orange Is The New Black’s Jackie Cruz. Beth’s friendship with Rhea is frowned upon by the girls since she decides to not tell Rhea who she actually is. How long can you really keep your identity a secret for Beth?
- Normal is good… or is it?
-
As the episode begins, we can see the girls working regular jobs, leading crime-free lives. Beth works at a greeting card store, Ruby works at a nail salon, and Annie works at a valet. Despite their normal front, the girls are still plotting to continue money laundering now that they are free from their criminal boss.
- Adding a fourth member?Â
-
Now that their gang leader is “gone”, the girls need to find a new way to get counterfeit cash. With the help of an oblivious graphic designer, Lucy, the girls successfully make new cash after various failed attempts. Though Lucy is hesitant to make the cash at first, Beth convinces her that it is for a casino charity night. Who needs Rio anyway?
- RIP Turner
-
You can never outsmart a crime lord, and Turner had to learn this the hard way. Though it was shocking, we should have seen it coming. Rio told Beth “Get rid of your rotten apples”, and Turner was a rotten apple, despite saving Rio’s life. Turner knew too much and was bound to take down Rio’s business, so death was his inevitable fate… or so we think.
Full of suspense, surprise and excitement, this first episode of Season 3 of Good Girls was well worth the wait. This new season is already shaping up to deliver drama and scandals- everything it promised us. We are already looking forward to the next episode!Â
