The world’s largest fan-voted award show returns for its 45th Anniversary this Sunday, November 19 and it will be a show you do not want to miss. Amongst those to perform at the 2017 American Music Awards are multi-platinum singer-songwriters Kelly Clarkson and Demi Lovato, as well as Christina Aguilera paying tribute to Whitney Houston and performing music from “The Bodyguard” in honor of the film’s 25th anniversary. Music legend Diana Ross will be honored with the “American Music Award for Lifetime Achievement” and will take the stage for a special performance.
Selena Gomez will also be returning this year for another major moment. She will perform the world television premiere of her brand new single “Wolves.” The single, a collaboration with music producer Marshmello, was released on October 25 and fans were quick to speculate the meaning behind the lyrics. Many have predicted that the song reflects Gomez’s own personal struggle with Lupus, as lupus is the Latin word for “wolves,” but nothing has yet been confirmed from Gomez herself.
The Most Famous Artist celebrated this exciting performance announcement in a lively mural on Sunset Blvd. The mural includes the lyrics “I’ve been running through the jungle/ I’ve been crying with the wolves/ To get to you” in white font on a bright, pink moon. Selena is encouraging fans to visit the mural and to tag any photos with the hashtag #SELENAxAMAs to spread the word!
