UCLA has done it again. With 92,691 freshman applicants, 20,063 transfer applicants, and a grand total of 112,744 applicants in all; UCLA is the nation’s most applied to four-year university this year. In other words, everyone wants to be a Bruin.
The application statistics also show that there has been an increase in numbers from normally underrepresented racial and minority groups this year, suggesting that the university’s initiative to broaden the school’s diversity is paying off.
So if you ever find yourself in a winter quarter slump this year, you can always remind yourself just how special you are to have been chosen out of thousands and thousands of applicants to be here. You are an incredibly bright student and you are here for a reason; UCLA thought you had something unique to contribute to this campus. Your contributions help make this university what it is, and as a result everyone wants to be a part of it! Keep being awesome, Bruins.
