In the midst of finals, it’s easy to get buried under piles of papers, practice tests, and study guides. But have no fear, Spring Quarter is right around the corner! For those who are overwhelmed with facing another quarter of challenging classes- there’s hope for you. The ladies of HerCampus wanted to provide 11 things to look forward to for Spring 2011.
- You’re allowed to be single- Although it may seem like you lost half your friends to boyfriends/girlfriends over the course of Winter Quarter, have no fear. Spring Cleaning will come into full effect soon enough. Who wants to stay in and cuddle on a Friday night when they could be out enjoying IV with their girls?
- Lighter Class Loads– Spring Quarter is the perfect time for at 12-unit class load. You’ve stressed two quarters, give yourself a break! Plus, you’ve got to save time for all the spring quarter festivities.
- Bathing Suit Season– Even if you’re not ready to strut your stuff on the beach, that doesn’t mean that you can’t lay out and supervise the surfers. ;)
- Summer Clothes– Sun dresses and crop tops in full effect.
- Pool Side- Take a break from the library and take your homework pool side or to the beach! For once, living in FT has an advantage.
- New Friends- Now that you’ve had two quarters to rekindle the friendships that may have been severed by summer, it’s time to broaden you friendships circle.
- Floatopia– Enough said.
- More ways to get active– Now that the weather has taken a turn for the sunnier, you can ditch the MAC center ellipticals and go for a beach side run.
- Spring Fling– With summer three months away, it’s hard to settle down without the strain of summer break in the back of everyone’s minds. Spring Fling- problem solved.
- Sunshine, sunshine, sunshine– Not only does the Santa Barbara sunshine put even the grouchiest in a good mood, but it’s also an excuse to move any night time festivities to the day.
- Visitors– Have you been waiting all year for your friends from home to make the drive and finally visit? The beach + weather combination is hard to resist.
